Welcome to North Polk's Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten Programs!

About Our Program

The North Polk preschool program offers half-day sessions for 4-year-olds, with morning (7:50 AM to 10:50 AM) and afternoon (11:50 AM to 2:50 PM). Classes will be held on 4 of the 5 weekdays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

To qualify, children must be 4 years old (but not yet 5) on or before 09/15 of that fall. Transportation within the district is provided for eligible preschool students. A fee of $150 per semester will be charged for students who use midday transportation.

Preschool Eligibility

For those who turn 5 on or before 09/15, our Transitional Kindergarten program provides all-day classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7:50 to 2:50. Both our 4-year-old preschool and 5-year-old Transitional Kindergarten classes are held at West in Polk City or Central in Alleman, providing excellent learning environments. Registration will open for the upcoming fall in January or February, so be sure to check back on our School Registration page for updates.
